Move It!Motion is the basis of all physical reality. If something physical exists, it is moving. Metaphysicians call this movement "vibration;" while mainstream science gives it a variety of names, such as "molecular activity." For our purposes, it doesn't matter what we call it. We only need to know that in order to grow, we need to move on our stuff. And by "stuff" I mean anything you know you must leave behind if you are to walk your path with heart. It is the mind that wants things to remain static. Somehow, it has the peculiar idea that moving is dangerous, that doing something different will lead to more problems. Fritz Perls once remarked that in order to heal and grow we "Must lose our minds and come to our senses." The only way you can know what is right for you is to move on what you have learned you must to do in order to heal. If we always do what we've always done, we'll always get what we've always got. It's frightening to do something different and unknown because the outcome seems like a black hole. We feel propelled into this unknown place, and aren't sure if there is a way out, or through. It is doubtful that anyone ever showed you how to take risks, or even let you know it is okay to do so. Moving is not always a physical activity. Physical changes are always preceded by a shift in thinking and feeling. This happens by allowing ourselves to experience old situations in new ways. Moving through those feelings is ultimately a lot easier than staying on the treadmill of avoidance. Next article...
