Who Do I Trust?Trust is a belief in the goodness and veracity of someone or something. I'm sure that at some time, you have had your trust broken. Never trusting again is not the answer, for that only adds to the fear and feeling stuck. It's a horrible feeling, that dawning of the knowledge you've been shafted, as it were. Whether we like it or not, to trust is as necessary as breathing. We trust the sun to come up, the power company to provide electricity, and our cars will start when we turn the key. There is only one person and place you need to trust 24/7. This person is yourself. You will never leave you, and you will always wake up to you, and everywhere you go, you take yourself with you. The place to put your trust on a 24/7 basis is spirit. You can give this place any name that works for you. I happen to like the name spirit. You can totally trust that spirit will never leave you, that you will always wake up to spirit, and spirit is right there with you. Of course, spirit is invisible, yet you experience it in an immediate and powerful way through your heart, or feelings. I'm sure that you have broken trust in yourself many times, I have. I've discovered that no matter how many times I fall down, there is an invisible energy there to help me get up. That same energy brings me clients for my business, words for these articles and teaches me how to love myself. This energy is spirit. It seems to always trust me when the last thing I'm doing is trusting myself. On some level, spirit and you are one and the same. In trusting spirit, then, you are only trusting yourself on another plane of consciousness. It's exhausting to do the work of finding your path with heart by yourself. It is lonely, and takes forever. I had a difficult time trusting in spirit at first. It was frightening to let go, even though I couldn't define what I was holding onto. I finally did let go, and spirit delivered once again. I'm trusting these articles will help even one person in some way. I promised myself some time ago I would never utter another word on these subjects. My trust had been severely broken, especially trust in myself. Well, never is a long time and as I mentioned above, not trusting only adds to the fear and feeling stuck. Spirit didn't lecture me, punish me or judge me. It just lovingly didn't let me forget it had a job for me to do. Trust yourself, you are worth it! Next article...
