About Prediction and Such

In 1977 I picked up a book on Numerology called "The Numbers of Life" by Kevin Quinn Avery. I knew somehow that buying it would transform my life. Putting it down, I left the store and walked around the block. Going back in, I bought it; and my life did indeed transform.

I immersed myself in the study of Numerology and later, Cabala. I learned the art and science of prediction, and did many life readings for people. Also, I studied other metaphysical subjects from every teacher I could. These included the human aura, chakras, healing with energy, and consciousness.

My involvement with all that has been fascinating. The most powerful thing I learned from it, though, is to not let someone else decide what is good for you. Not by virtue of cards, numbers, stars, planets or whatever. All these things work, they all have their place, and all have two glaring pitfalls:

  • The reading and information is only as good as the reader
  • The reader is as human as you are, with the same human frailties

It really bothered me when, as a reader, people would accept what I said as gospel. Hardly ever did anyone challenge the basis of my information. What bothered me even more was how people would substitute my words for their own thinking. The idea of a reading is to use it as a guide, not a written-in-stone set of facts. While there is a lot more to the subject than I can touch on here, please heed my point about not substituting the words of any reader for your own thinking.

Whenever we think, we create. Most thoughts are fleeting and unfocused, so what we think of doesn't manifest in the physical world. Information from a reader is often important to the client, who usually attaches a strong emotional energy to it. The important things we think about longer, and the emotional energy gives it strong impetus to manifest in the physical world.

Knowledge is power. A reading tells you about the stuff of your life, it describes your personality and such. It gives you knowledge of your spiritual purpose in this lifetime. I can make a prediction for you with astounding accuracy, yet it doesn't help you heal your heart, or teach you how to embrace the secret self of your precious inner child.

A much better answer than I, or any reader, can ever give you is already available to you in your heart. Only you can gain entry there, and you do this by walking your path with heart.
