House Of Soul

Since soul has many definitions, it may help to talk about how I define its meaning. First of all, there is only one reality, and this is love. Nothing real exists except love. Hatred, war, ruin, disease and poverty are not products of the natural, existing universe. They are products of mankind's ignorance, arrogance and need to grow and learn about love.

Even though there is only one reality, every culture has its own way of describing it, thus leading to the multiplicity of descriptions.

For our purpose, I'd like to keep the description of soul as personal as I can. I will describe soul as the part of you that permanently exists throughout the life journey along the physical plane of space and time. Soul is indestructible, it is untouchable by any form of abuse, mistreatment or pain. The most skilled torturer in the world cannot touch one's soul. This is because soul exists outside of space and time, even though it is fully capable of travelling through space and time.

Therefore, no matter how damaged, broken or messed-up you believe yourself to be, the real you is pristine.At the core, you are untouched by anything negative or evil in any way. You can see into your soul by looking deep into your eyes in the mirror. Soul experiences the physical plane through your heart - that is, through the medium of the heart chakra.

So we have two hearts, the physical organ, and the energy field organ where the soul dwells with its own spiritual existence. Soul is deeply involved with mind, and mind is not brain. Your brain is where you physically experience your thoughts, it is not where thoughts come from or end up.

Your Higher Power/Self and the Infinite Intelligence of the universe communicate to you via heart. Consider soul as the spiritual conduit through which you both exist in and participate in the constant unfolding of the universe. We often say "Oh, have a heart," or "There is no heart to this way of life" and even "I cannot put my heart into this job/career/relationship." Get the picture?

Life is not about money, power, stuff, stock options or keeping up with the Joneses. It is not about anything physical. It is about learning to love - and the only defining factor for your well being and happiness is the amount of heart in your present life journey.

Soul may be invisible, yet its presence is as real as electricity. No one can explain what electricity is, any more than we can explain soul. If I insisted on seeing electricity before I accepted the benefits of its presence I would wait a long time. Accepting the presence of your soul is similar. It is there, connected to you, part of you. Happy home coming.
