Trusting the Invisible

Trust, risk, safety and vulnerability are bound together in the endless circle of life. Each new day brings both fresh and familiar experiences so we may learn more about these faithful four. Living is not about collecting stuff, making lots of money or maintaining a daisy free lawn.

Life is about growing from a place of fear into the place of love. And the only way to grow is to open ourselves up to the task of learning about trust, risk, safety and vulnerability.

Beyond a certain point it is no longer possible to rely on the evidence of our physical senses. This point is where the physical turns into the non-physical. For example, we can hear a person's words, yet cannot read their mind.

Thoughts and feelings come from a place invisible to our physical senses. It is fascinating to learn how afraid many of us are of this invisible place.

Yet this place is also where the living essence of you and I came from. And when our bodies die, we will return there. Over and over in an endless cycle and circle of birth and death. This place is Light. An all loving, all accepting, all abundant place of ever-loving-kindness. Trust is our connection to this Light.

Perhaps you have been badly hurt, or committed a serious breach of trust in someone else's life. Either way, to shut yourself off from ever trusting again is a mistake.

To break a trust, or have your trust broken by someone else, is the opportunity to learn more about the true meaning of trust. It means reaching inside of yourself and making contact with your inner essence - your heart.
