A Course in JournalingWhen a person who wants to be healed sits with an enlightened master, such as Krishnamurti, Muktananda, Vivikananda, Yogananda, Maharaji and so on, a magical thing happens. They heal. As long as the individual truly wants to heal, they will. The reasons are very complex, yet at the core is the fact that the enlightened person is completely accepting and impartial. This means they act as a clear mirror for the person in pain. So the person has reflected back to him (or her) their own games and agendas. In the experiencing of this reflection another complex set of dynamics occurs. For our purposes here, let me describe it as the individual experiencing him or herself in a way they never have before. This experience causes a shift in self-perception, and hence in self concept. It is a positive shift, so some inner healing of the heart and mind happens. There is no choice in the matter. Heart, mind and body responds automatically to truth of life. A journal, pen and your determination to heal is the next best thing to sitting with an enlightened person, or true guru. In fact everyone of us already has a true guru sitting inside of us, waiting for us to come visit. One name for this guru is your Higher Self. So when you journal, you are journaling your feelings, nothing else. It is not a dear diary routine, or a record of what happened when. You are expressing out of you, into a safe, all-accepting and totally honest space whatever it is you are feeling at the moment.
