Attitudes and A Path With Heart - FAQ - A Path With Heart

What is Theosophy?

Theosophy is a collection of esoteric and metaphysical principles which are said to come from [quote] "It was delivered to the first human protoplasts, the first thinking human beings on this earth, by highly intelligent spiritual entities from superior spheres." [end quote] I took the quote from a web site explaining Theosophy.

In practical terms, it is a belief system - an arrangement of beliefs that teaches the foundation for a way of life. Helene Blavatsky was the founder of Theosophy.

There is a tremendous amount of metaphysical knowledge and information in its teachings. It grew very quickly - Besant, Leadbeater and G. Hodson were some of its early leading lights.

I believe that Theosophy really is a subject that is best investigated by exploring it personally.
