Attitudes and A Path With Heart - FAQ - A Path With HeartI'm Afraid Of The FutureFredrich Neitze said "That which does not kill me, makes me stronger." It is interesting, as well, to stop for a moment and realize that what you view as the past was at one time (no pun intended) your future. The present moment is a very illusive fellow. It trickles down from the "future" one moment at a time, slides by virtually unnoticed under our noses, and slips noiselessly in that place of memories we call the past. So when you say you are afraid of the future, perhaps this is because you haven't consciously noticed any other fears. That for some reason, this thing of the future holds your attention. Whatever the reason, the fear you feel is actually a frightened part of yourself, striving to get your conscious attention. Sometimes, fears have words to them, other fears have only feelings, or mute images with which to communicate with you. There is a part of you which needs love and acceptance, instead of perhaps shame, or guilt, or whatever it may be. If you listen to your heart, you will hear its message. Next page...
