I'm Afraid Of Receiving

At the bottom of it all, I'm sure everyone is afraid to some degree or another to receive. To receive something of real value, especially love, can be a frightening and unnerving experience.

To be afraid of receiving doesn't necessarily mean we feel unworthy of it. The fear can come from many different places. Interestingly enough, though, there is only one cause of fear. This cause is a lack of love.

So the presence of fear is a signal to us. It is the heart striving to get the attention of the mind. Heart is trying to tell mind that a door which is presently closed needs to be opened.

Fear, in this case about receiving, is a sign we need to love and accept ourselves more in the place that the fear points to. It may be to do with fear of abandonment in some way; perhaps it is a reminder of some earlier loss that has not been dealt with, yet
