Most of all, adopting a more conscious attitude to life and your place in it automatically creates a new dynamic of pro-action, instead of the old one of reaction. With some old stuff, the best thing really is to simply forget it, and move on. Other stuff, though, needs to be brought to closure if you are ever to have some peace of mind. Fear is a story all in itself. I believe that the presence of fear is the experience of a lack of love for oneself. Paradoxically, it is in choosing to face the fears, that we also have the opportunity given to us to bring old stuff to closure as part of the process. To just dig a big hole in the "back forty" of your mind and bury it all there, isn't a good idea. This just plain doesn't work. As Winston Churchill once remarked "Everyone stumbles over the truth from time to time. Most people pick themselves up and hurry off as though nothing ever happened!" Next page...
