Attitudes and A Path With Heart - FAQ - A Path With HeartHow Does It Work?It works on connection and relationship. There is an old folk story that teaches us about the futility of trying to push the river. As with the river, there is a flow and direction to life, and each one of us is an integral part of this flow. In other words, we each have our place in life and our own relationship with life. Since we also have free will, we can choose to either go with the flow, or work, even struggle, against the flow. I'm speaking here of the river of life. We cannot push that, either. A large part of living more consciously means learning to practice non-resistance. This is a concept that people sometimes have difficulty grasping. Being non-resistant doesn't mean becoming passive, or just being a bystander in life. It means learning to go with the flow of life instead of against it. When we deal with other people, we can often get our own way, especially when we are pushy or aggressive. This creates the impression we can make things happen as and when we want them to happen. Unfortunately, this doesn't work with life. A Path With Heart is about waking up the countless small clues that life gives us each day as to what to do, say, and where to go. It isn't complicated - it just takes some attention to watching the ground at one's feet, instead of keeping our eyes glued on the far horizon. Next page...
