Why Are There So Many Different Systems?

It can seem like there a bunch of different methods, yet once we boil it all down, there really are only 2 main systems in use in the western world.

There is the Pythagorean system, which is not as simple as it looks and, in my experience, is best suited to the exploration and detailing of our lives, especially from the mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of growth.

Then there is what is known as the Chaldean system. It is said to have its beginnings in ancient Babylon. It is also related to the Hebrew Kabbalah system and the Vedic system from India. The idea of Chaldean numerology is that every letter has a unique vibration (sound), and so numbers are assigned to the letters based on vibrational value.

The number 9 is not used in the Chaldean letter value system. It is useful for various forms of prediction, more than for character analysis.
