What Is Kabbalah?

The word means "System of Knowledge."

Every civilization throughout time has had its own version of Cabala. And they are all based on the symbolism of numbers. Even our culture has a Cabala. It is known as Hermetic Cabalism.

Basically, Cabala presents a symbolic explanation of the origin of the universe - using the nine base numbers (1 to 9) to first describe, symbolically, the meaning and structure of life. A deeper and richer explanation is then described, and this uses every number up to 22 to complete its explanation.
