Attitudes and A Path With Heart - FAQ - NumerologyDoes Changing Names Work?In my experience, no, it doesn't. The process of name changing is known as Name Rectification, and it requires a numerologist with a great deal of knowledge and skill to work out the process successfully. True, there are often short term benefits, or what seem like benefits, yet the long term result seems to be a real let down. I had a series of very interesting experiences quite a few years ago. There is an organization who promote name changing as a way of energizing one's life. I was asked, by the friend of a family, all of whom had changed their names via this organization, if I could assist in sorting out their woes. We all met and got to know each other. Unemployment, broken relationships, debt, betrayal in friendships - it was quite a list. We started with the mother. This was the family's choice, not my idea. I constructed a chart using her birth names and a chart using the "manufactured" names. This chart is known as the Table of Events, and can be taken as far back or forward as needed. By comparing the two different name energies for the same time period, I was able to describe what was happening in her life at that time by mapping out how the conflicting energies would manifest in her life. The same thing held true for the other family members. Based on our discoveries, they decided to go back to their original names, on the understanding that it takes about a year before real and permanent change happens. One of the children pointed out that it had been about that long before their woes had started. And sure enough, over time, their lives made a real about-face. For a period of time I was kept busy helping out other recipients of this outfit's "teachings." If I recall correctly, the longest time things had gone well for the person was about 5 years.
