How Does Numerology Work?

Numerology, and the other predictive and analytical arts, work on the idea that there is complete system and organization to the universe; and that this system is represented by mathematical relationships. An example of this is the cycles and movements of the planets in our solar system.

The old spiritual teachings tell us: "That as above, then so below - as in the macrocosm, so in the microcosm." This means to say that what happens in our lives (and bodies, hearts and minds) is a mirror image of what happens in the universe we live in.

Everything that happens in life can seem to be separate and disconnected, yet this is the effect of experiencing the world through the thinking mind, and assuming that what we experience is the final reality. There is far more to the reality of life than what we experience with our physical senses.

Numerology works the same way that astrology does, or Tarot reading, or Scrying, or Runes, or the many other ways that the reading of symbols takes place. In the case of numerology, we use the name and birth date as the source of our information.

Each such art and science has its own place and space, as it were, on the great table of finding about ourselves and this wonderful universe we live in.
