Can I Influence My Karma?

So much of the answer to this question depends on what is meant by the word "influence." The answer, interestingly enough, is no, yes, and yes. If you mean can you escape or dodge Karma, no, and yes, if you try to, you have just influenced it probably quite unpleasantly.

If you mean can a particular piece of Karma be expiated, or worked off in various ways, yes, it can. All those ways, though, have to be based on as much love, acceptance and the taking of responsibility for your life as you can manage.

I believe that Karma is a very prickly subject to talk about, and personally, I tend to pay as much attention to my attitudes as I can, and let the universe handle the tougher aspects of my existence, such as my Karma.

Even Buddha used to refuse to talk about Karma, and I'm happy to take a leaf out of his book!
