Studying metaphysics and the related subjects is really a study in personal transformation. So many long-held and even cherished beliefs and assumptions about how life "works" go up in smoke, once we truly start to question our attitudes and what we've assumed to be "fact."

I know Confucius seemed to be stating the obvious when he remarked that the journey of a thousand miles beings with a single step. Yet on a metaphysical level, the first step is choosing to give the subject an honest and open-minded tryout.
