Where Do Numbers Get Their Power From?

Numbers, as such, don't have any power as we usually understand the term. For example, if I grab hold of a live electrical wire, then I will have the physical experience of an electrical current running through my body. In other words, an external source of energy, electricity, passed through my physical body and I had the resulting effects - I suffered a shock.

Now, there are two basic types of energy, depending on how we choose to describe it:

• There is the energy of the physical world, which we experience and understand through our physical senses - this includes electricity, gravity, magnetism, gasoline, dynamite and so on.
• Then there is the energy of the unseen world - which most of us are unfamiliar with.
• And, of course, it is the energy of the unseen world which we need to learn to deal with if we are to get on in life.

Think of it this way: if we feel the need to force our way through life to achieve success, the odds are, that once we get there, we will be too burned out, tired and disillusioned about life to care about having made it. If, on the other hand, we learn about the energy of the unseen world, and we are willing to trust, co-create and trust in life to give us a hand, then success is the natural result, without any extra effort on our part. And the fear of loss disappears, as well.

The language of numbers, as applied to numerology, provides an eloquent text of what we need to do in order to have the stuff of our dreams. Yet, by the same token, lots of us refuse to make the core changes that are necessary for real movement forward. We want both things at once - we want the security of where we believe we are at, along with the growth and accomplishment of having dreams come true, without risk, change or growth.

So, numbers, on the physical plane, have no power of their own. They merely point the way. The direction they point toward is the only way forward there is which works. It's all a matter of spiritual logistics, not a matter of what we wish, hope or demand it to be.
