Meanings Of The LettersA name is analyzed by converting the letters into numbers using a 'table of correspondences.' Names can also be analyzed by evaluating each letter in sequence within the name, to discover its strengths and weaknesses. Letters (especially vowels) which appear more than once are known as 'letters of emphasis'. The first letter and vowel in a name is also important. On a more technical level, the correct interpretation of a letter is based on the sound it makes, more than its numerical value, or position in the alphabet. In many cases, the correct interpretation is the combined sound that two or more letters make together. Often, a letter will be silent in combination with other letters. In other situations, this lettter will give off other sounds, taking on an added meaning with the change in sound.
The letter "G" is a good example. It is soft as in "George" - or hard as in "Gorge." The ancients taught that the soul enters the body upon the vibration (sound) of the first vowel of the name. This is the reason why vowels were considered the most important part of the alphabet. And vowels are the active part of every word. The table of correspondences used here is the Pythagorean Alphabet.
