Calculating Your Name Numbers

Our birth names have all the secrets of our lives rolled up inside them. From our names, we discover the energies of our character, personality and how to move in the world. Maybe you feel that the timing of your arrival in the world was chance, or coincidence, and you may feel the same about your name. Still, as we move along and deepen our studies in numerology, it's easy to see there is a connection to it all.

As we work with numerology, we start to realize that wherever a number appears, there is that same energy, time and again. For example, people with "O" as the first vowel in their name have a far different way of thinking about the world than people do whose first vowel is "E." Names are a fascinating part of the numerology journey. And, the most fascinating name belonging to the most fascinating person in the whole world is *yours*.

Words are created from vowels and consonants. Vowels are the active, dynamic part of the word; they are the nervous system, muscle and organs; while consonants are the skeleton and skin. Although vowels are active, they work unseen in the background, quietly providing the silent stage on which we act out our lives.
