The Chaldean Numerology System This is one of the oldest numerology systems around, and it stems from the old Hebrew numbering system, as much as any place else. Strictly speaking, the Chaldean system is more the study of number symbology than it is numerology, because it says little about the spiritual purpose and mission of the individual. On the other hand, it is well suited to the art and science of prediction, and there will be more on this subject in the members area. It is interesting to see that number 9 is not used in the alphabet. One school of thought says this is because the Hebrew letters which stood for the number 9 have no equivilent in our modern alphabet. Another says this is because 9 was the number of finality in Hebrew philosophy. Since nothing can ever be truly final, there was no way of expressing the concept of finality. It is common practice to use only the day of birth, reduced to a single digit. The compound, or double-digit number is also taken into account. There is more on this in the member area. In the Chaldean system, the name is not really of any interest or meaning, except for the final digit, which becomes part of the formula for predicting what the day, or outcome, holds. | The Chaldean Alphabet | | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | | A | B | C | D | E | U | O | F | | I | K | G | M | H | V | Z | P | | Q | R | L | T | N | W | | | | J | | S | | | X | | | | Y | | | | | | | |
