Numerology and Name Changes

When I talk about name changes, I do not mean a change of name through a woman marrying, or a child being adopted, etc. These changes are part of the naturally occuring, collective Karma of our culture, and part of our individual, life journeys. I am confining my remarks to a person who consciously wants a change of name to possibly make life easier, more prosperous, or whatever.

Even if a change is made, I've discovered, from experience, it doesn't bring the results hoped for. What does happen is that the person goes through stuff they would otherwise have gone through in later lifetimes. Stuff they are not usually equipped to work through right now. Stuff which has been forced into physical manifestation by an act of will. The universe responds to our attitudes, so this is how we wind up getting what we ask for.

Karma is a prickly subject. It is like picking our way through a endless minefield of blessings or curses, not knowing the consequences of the next step. Yet we must take the step. Since nothing is out of place in the universe,our names are not out of place, either. I believe that to learn to live with the names we have is the best Karmic solution to the problem. Unless, of course, there are Karmic reasons otherwise.
