About Ever-Becoming
Buddhists have developed a most wonderful way of looking at the process of life. Buddha understood there is a connection between physical things and the principles of nature which they are the expression of.
Emmanuel Swedenborg also attempted to describe this connection in his 'Doctrine Of Correspondences.' This connection is quite beyond words, yet it can be lived quite simply. To experience it, we need to be as free of fear and anger as is reasonably possible. In Buddhist tradition the dance of life and its spiritual connection has been given the beautiful name "Ever-Becoming."
It is my belief we are on the earth plane as part of a vaster process of returning to this connection; to remember that in fact we are the connection.
The purpose of spiritual practice is to return to the state of quiet, innocence and wonder we had as new born babies. The soul force is always pushing its loving presence into our consciousness; gently leading us ever closer to the realization of a healed and happy life.
So, we are Ever-Becoming. Even though we are perfect just as we are, the events of our lives continually re-create us. We can choose to see change as negative and threatening, or as an opportunity to leave the past behind and move on with our lives.
How many times are we fearful and wondering what is going to come next, only to realize later what a blessing it all was.
